Hello all!

Unfortunately time to focus on other things in life. The SHO must go on, but without me.

I am posting here first as I definitely want this car to go to the best owner and home possible.

Car is definitely an ongoing project and I have many details to cover.

The good
- SS coilovers
- 11.6 front brakes with stainless lines
- Crank Sensor and water pump replaced recently (appropriate motorcraft coolant used)
- Valve adjustment done
- P&P intake with BBB’s
- Front strut tower brace
- Have quite a few spare parts and such for it
- New DIS Module
- Massive Speed Systems plug wires
- Still relatively fresh Falken Ziex all-seasons (225/50[?]) on factory slicers
- Quite a few other bits and bobs.

The Bad
- brakes are screechy at crawling speeds
- speedo cable exploded **
- leds in the dash are partially burnt out (NO LONGER; must’ve just been a really cold day.)
- both rear windows dont work (have new motors but will at least try to figure out why they arent working) **
- parking brake pretty much doesn’t hold and will need attention if you’re up on the hills
- No A/C and no heat. (Heater core is looped off)
- Cracked windshield (from previous owner, whilst DIY’ing a heater core/dash removal.
- No horn or cruise control, although cruise control did work when I got the car.

“**” Indicating something I do want to fix before sale, depending on how quickly things move along.

I think this community is awesome and will likely come back for another SHO later in life. Theres nothing quite like them when they're running right.

I definitely will answer any questions as I want the best for this car, had some crazy plans for it.

Bought this vehicle from its 2nd owner who had it (if I recall) 8 years and only drove it 10k miles in that time. He was a real fanatic, having had 8 other SHO’s pretty much since they were first rolling off assembly lines and had gotten a New Edge convertible to break his addiction.

The original owner bought from was apparently a good acquaintance which the SHO had served as a family car 90% of the time.

Then you have me.

OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Car had around 135k miles when I got it about 4 years ago (almost three of which were in a garage) and had basically sat for a year after installing the SS coilovers with some pretty major plans in mind but time for it got away from me.

(Daily) driving style was pretty much 65mph old highway cruising with the occasionally swift backroad bash. Always rev-matching during downshifts, no snapping of the throttle…

Fuel mileage always averaged 30mpg+, although mind you I always filled up on 100% 93 octane.

Speaking of fluids!

Engine oil was always Eneos Full Synthetic at 3k miles, (some bottles even designed by Yamaha!) and oil filters always MotorCraft or K&N when I could find them.

Trans is filled with Syncromesh, Pennzoil I believe. Did that not too long after I got the car, woulda went for something a bit better if I knew what a huge difference a quality oil can make.

That being said, last oil change was performed not many miles ago with LiquiMoly Ceratec to try and restore some internal surface coatings and such. Car seems to be running pretty good!

Pics coming soon once some warm weather comes back.

For now, will be totally happy with any offer $3000 or up.

*** The first few pics shown were the day that I brought it home, the last two were after I cleaned it up and started using it for daily duties.***

Had a second to snap some quick pics of how the car sits currently (albeit with some cleaning needed).

Still need to put the rear seats, some interior insulation and trim pieces back in.

Have the rear seat area partially covered with a white protective canvas (probably for painting or something) to help keep the sun from fading stuff.

Still more to come!A1D2B2F8 C38F 405F 93B0 C56463A328CD

Got a pic of how the engine bay more or less looks like. This was when i performed a MotorVac fuel service to the car.

My work has me taking a lot of pictures so found it whilst skimming for phone memory!

*** UPDATE ***

Have had a few people interested in the vehicle but still hasn’t sold.

This coming week I plan to move it into a storage unit to get it out of the sun and free-up space on the street.
