i went to gld today, i had a couple gremlins that showed up at the track, the most frustrating is my shift linkage, every time i went into third, unless i shifted like a grandma, one of the swivel joints would come undone and i couldnt shift, so, two of my runs were up to 70 then coasting all the way through, the other two runs i had to take a couple seconds for each shift, and this killed my time, i also couldnt launch hard cuz my clutch is almost gone, didnt really matter though, i had a lot of fun and i had a best et of 15.6( in the next couple weeks itll be over a second faster), the mph was the best part though, 93mph, i need to get some traction, another upside was that i saw the gtp that i beat, run a 14.2 at the track,, it gave me a huge smile to see that, ill keep everyone posted on my next trips

What is the average 1/4 mile time for a stock '93 atx. I know this is kinda off topic.

Over a second faster, I hope your getting some sort of Forced Induction then...

You beat a GTP that ran 14.2, was he racing? From a roll, dead stop, etc?

no forced induction yet, thats over the summer but 1)i bogged the launch,2) i had to granny shift(the linkage kept poppin off on hard shifts3) my clutch slips, so its getting replaced by the centerforce/fidanza combo, plus,4) that was full weight im hopin for a lot better time, maybe not a full second though, the race with the gtp was a roll, about 35-90, i think he may have "modified" the car a little since i beat him

It would be excellent if you got down to a 14.6 even with those problems fixed. I'm just telling you from experience and having owned a SHO with every mod but Forced Induction (along with having ridden in S/C'd, NOS'd, and the Turbo SHO/SHOs) that it more than likely will not happen N/A without a significant weight reduction, a perfect launch, and power shifting.

Best of luck though. :thumb:

We all know what happened when you tried to give that one a hard launch though
