Anyone out there running a two-tone paint scheme... specificly on a Gen I? My '90 will be painted this spring and I'm heavily leaning towards this as an option. I've puttered around with a few colors in Photoshop and I'm wondering if anyone else's SHO's are two tone... I've seen the green over grey Gen II and I'm looking for new ideas.

Anyone?

I always thought the body colored lower panels set the SHO apart... all the SLO's had Grey rocker panels. I don't like the 2 tone look on a SHO, the Rocker panels come too far up the side of the car, and it makes the paint look unbalanced.

IMO.

I've tossed around the same idea. I liked the unique look of my old truck. Forest Green on the top, Silver on the bottom, with a thin Orange pinstrip seperating the two.

I saw a 89 titanium / dark blue metalic at a junk yard...had a thin pin stripe after the blue to make it flow better. looked alright IMO. Too bad it was trashed...looks like it was a nice car in its day.

I know it's OT, and I ain't trying to hijack the thread.

Thanks for the props. The truck is a '95 S-10 Tahoe extended cab, 4.3L Vortec, ATX, Loaded. The thing that made the truck stand out is that it was a conversion truck, done by Choo-Choo Custom Conversions out of Chattanooga, TN. The whole bed is fiberglass with NO tailgate. There is a drain right behind the cab for water and such to get out. Special front fascia, IROC wheels, Corvette tailights, a hidden dual outlet exhaust, and the "Wildside" paint scheme and lettering. Got a good deal on it, and loved the looks I got, but not the harrassment from my friends. "That ain't a truck...a trucks got a tailgate...That's a 'Hottub' truck..." Oh well, I've got a few more pix of it. PM me if you'd like to see them.
