After getting my SHO back from the dealer in January due to the timing cover leaking, lo and behold now I have a transmission seal leaking. Back in January I heard a squealing also and the dealer ended up spraying my PTU with some lubricant and it went away.
That noise has resurfaced and I believe the service advisor said the two issues go hand in hand. Why the PTU wasn't addressed and replaced a couple months ago is beyond me. They are at least trying to get my tail lights replaced again due to the chrome peeling for the second time.
It used to be the Ford's would wait until the warranty expired before having issues. Not the case I guess nowadays. I'm really debating on getting the next body style change of the SHO if I continue to have issues. At the same rate, keep 'em while they are under warranty and then get another one right before it runs out may be the plan. I hope to have my car back sometime next week. I have my fingers crossed.
