Let,s see ... cam failure, alternator froze up, now a tranny line rusted completely through! All within a period of a couple months. What's next? Complete tranny failure?

If I didn't like the car so much, it would be history. But, what else can I get that is 4 door, front wheel drive, and a V-8.

Sorry to hear it.
As to your other question: Olds Aurora, any of the newer Caddy's(NorthStar V8), etc.
May not be as much fun to drive...

I saw this same problem on Ian's Gen 3 at the convention. It leaves the entire drivers side subframe wet with ATX fluid. The break as best I could locate it was rougly under the battery tray, a few inches from where the rubber cooler outlet line connects to the steel lines. Yes his lines were entirely covered in rust. The break he had wasn't so terrible that he couldn't get home, but I'm sure he was stopping every couple hours or so and topping of ATX fluid.

The whole steel part of the line was covered with rust, not just here or there. I didn't do the repairs myself so I don't know exactly where. This was one of those jobs where I needed the car so I took it to my mechanic and said, "call me when it's done".

As for another V-8 FWD ... I'll just keep putting $$$ into the SHO. It's still better than anything else out there!!!!!! :)
