The OEM TC only has around one out of three internal fins brazed. The rest are just crimped. These break loose or flatten out.

Got mine through "http://www.bulkpart.com/" for $350 or so. Also includes a better bushing and clutch.

Is a high stall converter a good application for a street driven V8 SHO? I would think not.

this is the hardest post i will make. the shop i took my car to burnt down with my car in it. i guess i wont have to worry about any more tranny problems. i will post the story and pictures in V8 discussion later on today

If there was nothing incredibly special probably the best buck for the car you will find. You can always buy another and now you know what to look for.

oh my i'm so sorry, you should buy it back and part it out engine should still be good (block heads internals) but will likely need all new seals and thats worth over 2500 right there.
