Two weeks ago I went to lunch during my lunch break and come back out to my car. I put it in drive and give it gas and the tranny was slipping big time and the OD light was flashing. Everything was fine until then. I drive the two miles back to work with it slipping. When I left work the tranny was fine.

Well today when I went to drive it, the tranny was slipping really bad again. The OD light wasn't flashing though.

Could this be something electronic or is the tranny toast?

The fluid is fine and didn't have the burned brown look to it. I added some Lucas stop slip, but that made no difference. There were also no codes tranny related. Just this O2 sensor code because I never feel like replacing it.

I doubt Lucas will help, when the transmission light flashes it usually indicates that there is an internal problem with the trans an I believe, but I am not a 100% on this, that it goes in limp mode if the OD light is flashing. I had a similar problem with my 1998 Explorer, I cleared the codes with my scanner and it started shifting normal.

I had to move my car this morning and the tranny was acting fine. I don't know what the deal is.

There are codes in there. If you need a good shop in Cincinnati, let me know.
