I have two timing marks on my crankshaft damper pulley, about 60 degrees apart. Can someone tell me what each mark is for?

ok, i sat here combing my chiltons for you and it makes no mention of the marks you see. not in the crankshaft section, or accessory belt section or anywhere in the crankshaft removal/installation process. i would think they are marks from the factory, but what they are for i could not tell you. it looks as if you do not need to worry about them though. hope this helps.

Please try the search for more information as there is even a sketch that was posted and I described them there. But the quick answer (I have to go somewhere) is that in the clockwise rotation direction, the first yellow mark, when at the "0" mark on the timing cover, is 60 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) on the number one cylinder, the second white mark, when at the "0" mark on the timing cover, is TDC on the number one cylinder and 60 degrees later, the third mark is not colored or used for any reference except that it is 60 degrees after TDC on the #1 cylinder when at the "0".
