Need help on timing chain tensioner compresion. I know how to compress the plunger/piston. The problem I'm having is the adjusting the metal stop after compressing the piston.

Thanks for the help in advance

Ok I figured out the auto tensioner. Now on to the next problem.

I have removed and aligned the timing chain twice. I can align the timing marks tighten everything down and it all looks good. Once I rotate the the crank I can never get the alignmet marks to marry up to the chain marks again. I can rotate the crank to #1 TDC and all the sprocket marks seem to realign where they should be just the chain never matches after that initial alingment. Is this OK or have I got something wrong.

Thanks
Curtis

It's fine. Just like a V6 timing belt, it will only line up with the marks once every few dozen revolutions.
