Hey,
As i am a newbie to SHO's (and Manual Trans.) i have a rough idea what broke.
First off, I JUST bought a 92 SHO today. It has 237k on the body, 74k on the motor, which is a 3.2L, and the Trans has 145k and is out of a 89 MTX.
My Problem-
While driving easy through the gears, i heard a loud squeal while pushing the clutch in, so i released it then went to push it back in, it wouldnt disengage and makes a chattering/clicking noise. Could this be a throwout bearing or something else?

Sounds like its likly a pressure plate TOB issue. TOB could have poped into the PP or TOB bit the dust. Sounds like you need a clutch job either way.

The clutch isnt that old(from what ive been told) so tomorrow, when the trans gets dropped, we will find out what is savable and what's not.
