... so will you please verify that I know what im doing. Correct me if im wrong.

1. Warm up car.
2. On EEC connector short the seperated terminal to terminal 2 on main plug.
3. Turn key to run but dont start
4. Watch the CE light on the dash board
5. Ignore the multiple quick flashes at first
(Codes that are currently faulted)
6. After pause, count the pulses seperated by 2 seconds. (this is first code)
7. There is a 4 second pause then count the pulses for second code.
(Past codes that arent a problem no more)
8. Wait 6 seconds for a single seperator pulse
9. Wait 6 seconds for memory codes
10. Count these codes the same way
11. Turn off ignition
12. Remove Jumper

The only thing that I can think of that Im missing is when can I turn off the ignition and NOT clear the codes, And when can I shut it off to CLEAR the codes.

If it helps you can list my steps.

(Example: after step 9 remove jumper to clear codes)

Thanks everybody.

While you are running the KOEO test, at the same time the codes are being displayed, disconnect the jumper wire. This will clear the codes.
