I was earring a loud clacking after engine warmed up. Opened it up and found that the timing belt was very loose between the 2 upper pulleys. The tensioner has ware marks where the idler pulley has been hitting it. Does the tensioner need replacement or can I remove the spring and just replace it. I can push down the spring by hand. i would think that it is worn out.
Also if someone could post instruction on re-alining the pulley before I install the new belt. When I removed the old one the cams moved.
Thanks
Roy
