How do I remove the vent, mine is missing a couple "doors" and just bought a new one on e-bay and I need to know how to remove it, Since Ive never tackled anything to do with the dash, Im going to ask here first just to be safe....I dont mean the whole vetn line or anything, Just the actual cover you see from the passenger seat....

Thanks guys :thumb:

Hey man, Im going to do some searching, but try the search feature, there was a very detailed explanation written by someone. It actually comes out in multiple pieces, I have now saved 6 or 7 of them since that write-up.. I will post it here as soon as I find the link. :thumb:

I would use a windshield stick, or something that has an amount of flex to it so you dont gouge the plastic or break anything... just my $0.02

I assume you are wanting to leave the vent frame in the dash and just change out the louver section. Just did this yesterday. Use a thin blade putty knife, it's thin enough to slide between the parts but stiff enough to give you some leverage. If you look at your ebay part, you'll see two tabs on the top and two on the bottom that hold the louver assembly in the frame. Use the putty knife to pry the taps out of the frame.

Be careful installing the ebay piece, it would be easy to break it if not careful.

It's also possible to just change out the louver pieces (did that on my center vent) as long as the plastic is still flexible. However, it the plastic has lost it's flexibility, you'll just end up breaking the louvers. I broke my junkyard vent trying to do it that way.

^ Hey, thanks alot...that helps greatly, as for trying the louver peices, I dont think that will work because these things have been missing for a while (I beleive since 2000) and Im not sure why but the clips that hold the peices in have been worn down to nothing, so If I put the peice on, It will simply fall off.....but I will just replace the whole thing, and yeah, I need a centre peice to as mine is not bad but all the "doors" move independantley from each other....

Thanks again for all your help guys...
