My 95 MTX sho is having problems all of a sudden on take off. Inless I rev the engine above 2k rpms while letting off the clutch, it bogs down and remains around 1k rpms. Im also starting to notice that just reving the engine in neutral it grunts alittle pauses and then starts to rev. It is doing that until your above 2k also. Im hoping I could get some suggestions on this hesitation.
thanks

Well I ran KOEO and KOER Tests and first time through I recieved
KOEO:111 sys Ok, 542 Fuel pump secondary circuit failure.
KOER:538 Operator error (dynamic response / cylinder balance tests),536 BOO circuit failure,521 PSPS circuit did not change states, and 9 with running the SEFI test

I reran it again after clearing the codes however and only got;
KOEO: 111 and 542
KOER: 111

So could it be a possible fuel pump issue?? It doesnt sound quite right, but what ya think?

Yeah it's possible that the fuel pump is on the way out. But the 542 code is also thrown whenever the car stalls out.

Ace,

The fuel pump itself can only rarely cause a 542 code. The 542 code is generated when the PCM detects that the power feed to the pump is not within limits when it is tested.

You really need to test the fuel pressure and see if it is low (sounds like it is). If pressure is low, the drive voltage needs to be checked to see if there is a supply fault causing low pump performance or if the pump is pulling too much current.

To test the fuel pressure you use the tire size guage ontop of the intake right? Because when i try to unscrew the cap while the cars on im getting gas coming out. and as for the drive voltage, ive never heard how to check that.
As for a first MAF looks like it has a special screw keeping the sensor on, but whats exposed that i can see appears to be clean.
