sync update system down.

I've been trying to get the update for my sync3 since friday night. I thought I was doing something wrong but I used the chat feature on the website and the person told me the system was down and they had no idea how long it would take to fix. It is still unavailable to me today.

Was trying to get the 2.3 version to update my 2016 with 1.0. Evidently the automatic updates button does not actually keep it updated on my sync3...

Unless something happened in the interim, I had to force an update with a USB stick. I was at 1.0, and even after 2.2 was out for quite some time, there was no "automatic update" process for it.

And 2.3 is supposed to be only for people already at 2.2. So it's a catch-22

I think the problem is that the Taurus doesn't have the correct USB hub to interface to Apple Auto (or whatever it's called). So Ford doesn't "support" upgrading to 2.2. Unless you need Android Auto or Apple Auto(?) I wouldn't bother. Nothing changed. Except for one thing. The voice - I think it sounds slightly worse than it used to.

Does the Ford website say the upgrade is available to you?

I'm saying their download system to put it on a usb stick is down, not the automatic downloads. Yes, it says 2.3 is available to me but won't let me download it, and their support says the system is down. Sorry my post wasn't clear on that.

Sync 2 is pre-2016 for the Taurus, and I don't think anything really needs fixing in it at this point.

Apple car play needs a new media hub if you have an early 2016. Android auto doesn' need a new tab hub. 2.3 is the latest
