Sometimes they're called Mounting Plates or Strut Bearing assemblies. Symptoms usually involve power steering fighting back (bearings going bad) or a popping sound as you go over bumps coming from the top of the strut. They're a PITA to change unless you take the whole strut off. Once you do that, though, it's easy. Make SURE you get new bearings; those are important, they allow the strut to turn...

Agreed with above. I found it easier to get the bearings from napa, AZ, rock auto, and the mounts from Ford dealer. They are 2 different things. Your dealer will have a picture(breakdown) on their computer.

Well, there is Intrax springs in the car now with stock struts that are worn out. there will be a set of Tokico's going in probably, Should they just be replaced then? or is something that is a must now?

Check with Mike Kopstain at Midwest SHO. Got a good pair of bearings with the rest of my suspension order there, and he's a real good guy to deal with to boot.
