struggling to run

i have an issue im not sure if its fuel related but here is my problem. sometimes i will hammer the gas pedal and will keep it floored up till about 60mph in town then approach a stop sign and while im idling its struggling to keep the rpm's steady it sits at about 500 rpm running ROUGH! i dont know if its my IAC or if its fuel related im am starting my 60 K in a week and what should i look for to solve this problem ? and does anybody know how i can get ahold of fred hurder from ne sho specialist, like a phone number? he isnt responding to my e-mails the last week and im trying to get more information about the P&P runners and BBB's.thanks in advance.

A failing idle air control valve doesn't cause the engine to run roughly. It just doesn't have a steady idle. Rougn is due to uneven firing from cylinder to cylinder. That can be caused by several things such as bad spark plugs, bad plug wires, bad DIS connections, etc.

i do have a little bit of oil in the plug wells do you think that could be the cause sdpatt ??

Yes! You need to change out your spark plug well seals, spark plugs and spark plug wires!

Autozone could take care of you for under $80.00 for parts.
