I'm having a senior moment here as I'm unable to pull codes. Car's been running good, but hiccup'd today and briefly showed a CEL. I'm guessing misfire due to oil in plug wells or rubbed plug wires. Sounded like it lost a cylinder or 2 and probably needs some top end attention. My car has no STI plug or wire anywhere. Recently I was able to pull codes by jumpering one of the wires in the eec-iv connector to the STI pin on the test plug. I should've written this down or taken a picture cause I'm back on the struggle bus of being unable to pull codes on this car. My theory is they put the STI wire in the EEC plug. When I try to run the scan I hear a bunch of things happen including the fuel pump prime, then my scanner says vehicle isn't responding. What gives? Pretty sure it's wired up like i had it a few weeks ago. Frigging won't scan.
