Strange Transmission problem now 3rd

First I had problems with 1st to 2nd. When the car heats up a little then the problem would start. For example: I drive and then stop on a red light and the car won't go in to frist gear and then shifts very hard back to 1st. ok, that's easy to understand, but when driving with OVERDRIVE off then it will only have problems shifting back into first when I drive faster or go over 5000rpm. So the problem now is that the car shifts suddenly VERY good into 1st and 2nd (OVERDRIVE OFF), but will not go into 3rd gear. WITH OVERDRIVE ON it will go to 3rd and 4th, but has problems with 1st and 2nd. So please help with this one. If anyone had the same problem and solved it would be great.

BEFORE:
COLD ENGINE: Shifts good for 10 minutes
HOT ENGINE: 1st to 2nd problems Less with OD OFF. AND IF I DRIVE SLOW with OVERDRIVE off no problems shifting.

NOW:
COLD ENGINE: Hard shift to D
HOT ENGINE: Hard shift with OVERDRIVE on, (1st to 2nd), but OVERDRIVE off no problems with 1st to 2nd), BUT WON'T GO TO THIRD GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had some weird tranny problems with my ATX that were solved by cleaning the plug that goes into the top of the trans, located under the MAF/Throttle body area. Mine had trans fluid in it and the TC would not lock up. After cleaning it, no problems for another 15-20k before I sold it.

Check your codes. Your VSS might be going out.

Ok, I will actually check the cables first and then try to put in a new vss and tss if aplicable.
