Ok.. Today I drove the car to the MidAmerica Shelby show. Everything was fine. Windows rolled up and down, sunroof opened. No trouble. I got home, cracked the windows a couple of inches and closed the sunroof. Went back out later and couldnt roll the windows down and couldnt open the sunroof. Went to check fuses and noticed I was smelling something burning. I felt all teh fuses and the #14 (metal fuse) was so hot I couldnt touch it hardly. I pulled one from my other car and put it in, same problem got hot quick. I check the #6 fuse (plastic) it didnt look blown but I replaced it anyway. I looked in the book and the #14 also runs the power seats and they worked fine durring this issue. Now tonight I went out to figure this problem out since its suppose to rain most of the week and my windows are stuck down. Well I decided to check the sunroof control panel since I had replaced the sunroof motor a week ago or so. As soon as I got the two screws out and pulled it down to break the ground the windows and sunroof both worked again. I pushed it back up to make the dome lights come back on and the window would roll down for just a second then quit and they were all dead again. Pulled it back down and everything worked again. What could be causing this? None of the wires in the control panel are bare or look cracked. Everything is hooked up good and its been working fine till today and I have not messed with anything since I replaced the sunroof motor a couple of weeks ago and its even been working fine since then and works fine when the dome lights are un grounded from the roof. I am trying to sell this car and the last thing I need is for it to start having gremlins. Oh this is a 93 ATX by the way. If you need any more details or want me to try something let me know. Oh something else strange. When I was taking the screws out of the control panel the stereo kicked on and the power antenna started running. The climate contral also cycled. I didnt notice that when I was messing with it before. It also sparked when I touched it with the screw. I did have the door open so the dome lights on but thats how it was before when I was working it and I didnt have any strange things happen like that.

I can't help you, but I can say that you should never do electrical work on a car while the battery is still connected. You may have shorted something because of this oversight.

Look on the back of the sunroof switch, there should be a piece of black tape covering the solder points, if it gone it could short out to the body.
