Could someone please help me confirm this sound?

On Friday I went on a long drive and took a stop at my buddys. When I went to leave, I started my 2013 SHO and it almost immediately stalled, so I restarted again giving some gas and it was a go. Later on the drive I started to hear intermittent whooshing sounds and then later these terrible knocking sounds (https://jumpshare.com/s/wIHQAiDq3vQBfedrWm1W). When I popped my hood the other day, I located a bunch of old tape around Vapor Canister Purge Valve DG1Z-9G271-B making a ton of vacuum leak noises right at the taped area. LLM is telling me all my symptoms are related to this, is that accurate? I ordered the part this morning but I just wanted to get some expert opinions.

Does the sound increase with RPM? It doesn't sound like a rod knock, need for information for a final conformation ie milage, oil being used, temperature of engineand was the car in park or neutral??

No the sound is intermittent. 5w30 synthetic, it has been cold around here, 10-20F, the car was in park. If sound was originating from engine, it wouldn't be intermittent would it, it would be consistent right?
