If you ever thought about running Super Trapps to quiet down your car... I'd recommend a proper exhaust. The owner of this car normally runs them in his tail pipes, but I think he's now been convinced to take them out. :)

i would like to get some more info on this build. I just bought a Vortech S trim kit for my SHO and would love to get more of the details on how to get there without breaking stuff unnecessarily.

I had a conversation with a friend I've known here for probably 14 or 15 years and he gave me some information that certainly irritated me about a person of whom I have not thought highly of for quite a few years (RIGHTFULLY!) and used to frequent here to tune cars, but has since dropped off the forum (and maybe SHO's altogether?). This person called up referenced tuner for tuning support and was immediately greeted with talking shit on me. He then followed on how he had to "fix a few" of my tunes. I will gladly call this out, plain and simple.... I have literally only tuned 5 SHO's to this day and I can name them all and in order:

1. My SHO - tuned NA, then boosted, then converted to E85. Still runs and still on my tune.
2 SHOSIG - borrowed a TwEECer in 2004 and the TwEECer had been removed before selling because it belonged to another friend.
3. strings1732 - Remote turbo SHO... He probably hasn't driven the car in 10 years ;)
4. zach44102 - Where to start... Fastest NA time, fastest N2O time, fastest turbo SHO, & fastest SHO time of all generations... #brotuned
5. One_Shot - Waited over a year to get tuned Adam @ Pops and that didn't happen... Blah, blah... Highest power stock long block SHO I've seen.

I also played with my 92 beater SHO with my TwEECer on the dyno and sent 1 or 2 people base tunes so they could start their cars.

If Adam @ Pops can please tell me which of these cars he fixed, I am all ears. Also, at the time the above conversation was had, I had tuned 3 SHO's. ;) In my 14-15 years of tuning (which is a hobby), which on the Subaru side is a lot, I have yet to blow a motor, ever. Will it happen? Yep... But you didn't fix shit of mine. Also, your NA tuned SHO's are not outrunning any boosted SHO I've tuned, period. My best NA SHO ran a ******* 12.3.

My first dealing with him was him remoting into my laptop to install his strategy and talk about BE, which wasn't needed... However, during that conversation, knowing I had done tuning on these cars, he offered up a second strategy for testing, which I did not ask for or take. Fast forward to me upgrading my laptop and wanting to get it up and running with the tuning software, I asked him for a key to install it. He became pissy and accused me of trying to steal from him (again, he already offered up a second strategy prior to this). From that conversation, I contacted the friend of which I sold the old laptop to (which I imaged first), got the laptop from him, installed BE and the strategy, then uninstalled to get the uninstall key to provide him. After this, he was still accusing me of trying to steal from him of which he called me out on eectuning.org. Once I responded with some sense, the thread was removed.

During the times I dealt with him, he liked to brag about tuning 400+whp SHO's, 15 PSI SHO's, etc... But I had already done that years prior, so I wasn't impressed nor gave a shit... I just wanted my software.

On the flip side, Clint at BE was easy to deal with and would work with again.

I'd like to make 600whp out of the stock motor... Just sayin', Derek. :)
I would love to have you tune mine once it is up and going...I think it would make for a good time in CO from TX. The S-trim i bought was supposedly Zach's at one time....it does have a purple blow off...lol

You'd have to tell me more about the car and what you're trying to do. It sounds like I *might* be out your way... Well, somewhere in big ass TX to tune some SHO's... I've been told a couple people there want me to tune, but nothing has been discussed further.

I unfortunately wont be ready for at least a year i am thinking....It will be a 3.3L with S-trim, and all the upper intake work...ie, BBB, extrude honed intake and runners, ported, gasket matched, 80mm MAF, Hopefully TB too if I can find one, Custom built headers, hiflow ypipe, Borla custom built catback...ect

I have alot happening on this car as it will be the last one i build so it is getting the best of everything i can get my hands on.

If you're aiming for big power, I'd replace the S-trim with something bigger. This S-trim is being overspun as-is already.
not looking for big power just bigger power....I am building a very nasty street car that i can play with and race occasionally. The numbers you already have seen is more than enough for what im looking for....400whp will just fine for me.

Tuning day! Let’s do this! Murph and Tony watching this thread?

That could be some fun.

You have an injector coming your way. Sorry, I meant to get it out last week, but... Here we are. :)

Bandito ran the roll races at Street Car Takeover in Denver today. For those that have not run these type of roll races, trap speeds are equivalent to a drag race At 9,000 ft DA, it was a solid 111.x mph car... I'm trying to talk Derek into a bigger blower (bigger than a T-trim). :)

For reference an NA SHO is a mid 80's mph car here

Yes, we have some fast cars here... First 2 runs are TnT, the 3rd is the 1st round that he won against the VR-4 and the barely lost in the second round. The SHO actually got a lot attention and 1320 Video is always a fan. My Blue Turd shirt helped too... :p

I cannot allow that lol. I’m thinking. Ysi over TI. 66000 rpms over 55000 of a TI.
