Ok, sometimes when I climb in my car and turn the key nothing happens, so I crawled under my car and I wiggled the cables running to the starter and realized that the other can looking thing (starter sealanoid(sp?)i think) is really really loose and moves up and down like an inch. After that I climbed in and it turned right over. I was wondering if there is a way to tighten it or do I need a new starter shrug .
Thanks Guys,
Justin

Nothing should be loose. The starter is held in by two bolts: one next to the oil pan, and one right behind the PS cooler. If both of those are tight, and you are talking about the silanoid(sp?) on top of the starter moving, then you need a new starter. Only takes about 15-20min to change, but they run 100+. Good luck,
Doug

I have changed the starter before when I did my clutch because I put a flywheel of of my 1989 parts motor and put the starter on with it. Well to buy a new starter tomorrow. :(

thanks,

Look closely for the loose bolting, but I believe the solenoid is supposed to be rigidly attached to the starter on the post '91 engines.

Ok, I check for loose wires but they were all good, but I did noticed that they are covered in like an oily substance. Do you think that could cause a short? Could I spray some carb cleaner or an Electrical Cleaner on it to make it all shiny.

It is oily because every time you change your oil filter the oil pours onto the starter. I have heard of some people having starter problems solve the problems by taking the starter off, and cleaning it out. Then after that having no problems, either that or buy a new starter. Have you checked the connections at your battery? That could be a culprit also.
