starting trouble

My car keeps having starting trouble at first it doesnt want to start and when I get it started it wants to die right away so I have to pump the gas

Yeah... can you be more specific? Have you pulled any engine codes yet?

No offense, but if you're unsure exactly where your trans dipstick is (other thread), you may want to find someone close to you who knows a bit more about the car, 'cause this could be whole bunch of different issues. Just off the top of my head are:

fuel pump
cam sensor
MAF
IAB
FPR

Being that it's winter, you can add weak coil to the above list . . . .
