Ever since I moved to Florida the SHO has been having a few starting issues. Usually, if not always, I have to attempt to start it twice. Sometimes if I hold it long enough it'll start, but that's usually never. Most of the time the first time is a failure, then the second time it starts like it should. It's been pretty hot down here lately, I was wondering if that might be part of the reason. Or if maybe the 500+ mile trip maybe did something, but I had no trouble during or right after that. So any help would be great, thanks!

I've had my '95 ATX for 5 years and 50k....replaced just about every sensor and done all the maintainence on it......it has ALWAYS ALWAYS been grumpy when starting in hot weather. It always starts, and doesn't always act up, but it doesn't surprise me if I have to try it twice. I've given up with trying to figure out what is up.

...just FYI.

Since my girlfriend is driving it right now and I can't really test that, could you tell me what it might be if pressing the gas slightly while starting accually works? Or doesn't work?

Instead of going strait to start on the first try, turn just far enough to prime the fuel pump, then try for the start on the second time.

When my fuel pump was failing in my 93 it would do that to me too.

Hmm.. that is a good idea as well, I'll see if that works, I'll have to ask her to do that tomorrow when she has to go to college in the morning, if it works I guess my fuel pump is going out on me. Thanks for any and all help!
