Recently, I've noticed that, when I start my sho, it takes like about 3-4 seconds of cranking, before my sho starts. It cranks fine. I ran codes, but nothing showed up. Anyone have any helpful inputs?

Thanks

mine does the exact same thing when its cold..cranks for about 3 or 4 seconds before it fires..sometimes i'll back off the starter before it fires..then try again and its like..insta-perfect-start...at first i thought it was just an old fuel filter bogging it down..but i have a new fuel filter and its still slow to start when its cold. i dunno whats up with it..but its never failed to start..yet

I know when its really cold..my old battery seems to have a problem..it will crank a lot slower than normal.

There was actually a TSB on some of the SHO's for extended crank times intermittantly. The cure was a updated starter which had a higher? gear reduction that made the starter spin faster which in turn would spin the engine faster, giving a quicker start. :thumb:
