starter selonoid

ok, so this morning my car wouldnt start, my dad comes out and claims he thinks its the selonoid. later on that day we change the selonoid, car starts, bring it around, turns off turns on, no problem, i turn it off again later, try again and the engine isnt turning over again, i have gone through three selonoids today, the first two were the 4 pronged version, this this third one is the three prong, but none of them yet have been motocraft because i cant find a store with one in, im at my wits end with this thing, and i think i need to take a nap... im getting cranky, any help would be greatly apreciated

Have you considered that the starter is the problem and not the solenoid?

Or the wires?

will just taping the starter give me an idea if it is the starter. How would i go about checking wires?
