Has anyone ever tried these. They clamp onto your springs in two places, thus lowering the spring by about an inch. Is this the poor stupid man's way of lowering, or does it work okay??

I would expect Sh*tty ride, and if they actually whithstood enough stress to hold the car down an inch, I would not want to be near when one breaks and pieces go flying. Should be a harse ride. Save for new springs, struts.

From what I've seen they are forged steel. Two plates for top and bottom and then attached both plates with two bolts. This would be done on both sides of the spring condensing one coil length.

It may be really strong, and it might work, but I would not do it to my own, I am saving for Intrax, cut off the extra coil, and use koni's for adjustability. $$ but worth it. If I were broke I would buy some nice used springs from someone like me and cut a coil. Craig

Usually when you take the cheap way. You will get cheap results. Do it right the first time and save the money and buy the right stuff the first time instead of getting cheap stuff then getting the good stuff later on..
