I have a 2016 non PP show WITHOUT the Sony sound system. However, I do have a center dash speakers and the tweeters in the A pillars. I have NO speakers in the rear deck. Went to replace my door speakers and found that the front door speakers have two connections. I assume this is a cross over on the speakers, but not sure. I haven't been in the car audio game since probably sometime in the 2000's. So how the **** do I replace my speakers when i have the two connections? I am sure I am not the only one that has run into this issue but my new speakers , Rockford Fosgate's only have the one. Do I need to get stand alone crossover's and do some splicing?

I haven't replaced mine so take it with a grain of salt

I assume the speaker has a center tweeter so what you're seeing is connections for 2 different speakers. I'll bet you could unplug one at a time to see which drives which speaker. Then buy a similar speaker or a 5X7 without the tweeter and only use one connection.

Actually, I believe it is the opposite of what Josh stated. The tweeter is in a separate location on the door panel and the speaker pictured has the crossover and the wiring to that external tweeter.

If you get a new speaker with the built in tweeter, you just leave the factory tweeter disconnected.

No tweeter in the door panel. I assume the pigtail goes back into the harness and up to the tweeters in the a pillar. I don't want to lose those tweeters if I can avoid it.

I googled the part # from the picture. The center of the speaker isn't a tweeter? There's no info online but several eBay listings.

Again, it would be very easy to test. Simply unplug the one believed to feed the column speakers and test.Bf5695c400a0d040a17363417f8383fb

That appears to be a 12dB/octave crossover (consists of both a non-polarized 7 microFarad capacitor and an inductor) for the pillar tweeter. The connection on the speaker itself appears to be full range for the door speaker. If you wish to retain the pillar speakers, remove the crossover from the factory speaker, wire it into your new speaker, mount the crossover somehow, making sure to not let the solder side short to metal, and plug the factory tweeter back in.

I have a 2013 non-pp with the Sony system, but the connections look exactly the same as the ones I had when I replaced my door speakers. All I did was cut the connector off, strip the wire, and wire it up based on the "diagram" in the forum post I linked here. Wasn't too different from putting speakers in any other car I've done, Cadillac, Audi, BMW, Chevy, ect. Sounds way better than the factory did and if there's anything wrong with it I sure as **** can't tell lol.
