sometimes SHO shuts off

sometimes...only when i am reversing and then i switch to drive (atx) without coming to a full stop, the SHO just cuts off...i thought it only did it when it was cold, but it did it the other day in a parking lot, the first time it wasnt in the morning and in my driveway... i dont want to get stranded...any ideas what this is guys?

It's not good for the trans to do what you described, but the engine shouldn't die. Try the idle reset procedure before going any farther with the worrying.

I hope you are saving lots of $$$ for a rebuilt tranny! The ATX is weak, at best.
