Those "screws" always come loose on my car for some reason. Undertray ends up dragging on the road. I just leave if off now.

If I lose anymore, I'll probably take it off or figure out another means of attaching it. Nearly $30 for the 2 pieces after shipping.

I went to the local ford dealership I ordered the new motor mount to, come to find out they ordered the wrong part. The mount is AA5Z-6038-D

They ordered AA5Z-6038-B. Thank god for overnight shipping from Detroit up to my dealer in Michigan!

This was my old motor mount:

Replace the retainer clips. I think it was like $5 for a pack of four. They get worn out and the fasteners come loose easily. Or keep it off, I do.

That's kinda what I figured. Anyone have a part number for those?

Not able to right now, spent the savings I had getting my truck ready for a trip, knew it was on the way out and hoped it would hold out a couple more months but I started getting the propane smell earlier this week and I didn't want to push it and have a tow bill on top of everything. Got the cover for free so at least the Florida sun wont destroy anything while I wait to get a PTU

u know your vent tube could be clogged its always gonna smell. there were certain years that Ford had a tsb about the tube missing.

TSB 15-0056

04/17/15

AWD - LEAK FROM PTU - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 12/11/2013

FORD:
2013-2014 Explorer, Taurus

LINCOLN:
2013-2014 MKS

This article supersedes TSB 14-0032 to update the Service Labor Time Standards.

ISSUE
Some 2013-2014 Explorer, Taurus and MKS vehicles equipped with all wheel drive (AWD) and built on or before 12/11/2013 may exhibit power transfer unit (PTU) fluid leaking. This concern may be due to a PTU vent hose which is missing or disconnected.

ACTION

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-02.

2.Is the PTU equipped with a jiggle cap style vent assembly?

a. Yes - this article does not apply. Refer to WSM, Section 308-07 for normal diagnostics.

b. No - proceed to step 3.

3.Is the PTU vent hose missing or disconnected?

a. Yes - install a new hose.

I've noticed some fluid on my PTU (2012). It runs great and I change it every 30k miles. I'm going to look at mine. Thanks.

I had a burning smell from the PTU puking fluid onto the exhaust due to pressure buildup. Bought the updated extended vent tube and it’s been not leaking since I cleaned it all up in early January. My vent tube had blown itself off the fitting from the pressure.

when JYMS kept saying he smelled propane made me think. he might still have issues if he is hearing it. this might be just yet something else.

Definitely at the someone dropped a fork in the garbage disposal level of noise but it's still inconsistent. I couldn't help myself and took her for a rip and gave her a wash today. I already miss my car, plates too full to even look into it for another 3 weeks though.

New shoes and an alignment for the 1996 New Zealand SHO.

Tire label on the tread made me smile a bit. Strange to me.
