So they look better - not great - and never thought they would look brand new. To @Ta2dResqr point - I will be doing the CRC cleaning myself. The best thing is - the shop manager said he will do a second cleaning based on photos for free - so for the service I will get 2 cleanings. From there I will do CRC going forward... do I feel anything - nope mine weren't that bad nor was I expecting anything.

Samsung SmartTag or an Apple Air Tag will work with no monthly cost either. If you don't want to replace the batteries, you can use a voltage regulator and wire a circuit for it. It will ping off any Android or Apple device depending which you get.Installed a hidden GPS tracker, in case some low life has a lus t for my car. It's pretty easy to install, just a power and a ground wire, register the devise on their website and within a couple of hours, it will start sending you the location. I chose the mid plan for monitoring, it's around $24/month paid quarterly.
On their website they show the devise attached to the fuse box. I thought that was a little too obvious so I hid it so that it would still receive a signal, but can't be easily seen. They can be installed under the hood or in the cockpit. Available at Amazon.

Went to see the parents yesterday and on those backroads in Mexico I decided to push the car to see where she stood. Got to 145 before I let off due to the vehicle beginning to veer and hop a little more than I was comfortable, but it seemed she still had plenty of room to go. Anyone here figure out where the old girl tops out at?

I originally thought about using an Apple Air Tag, but found out that they are discoverable by anyone that has an Apple device, and I didn't want that. Also the battery requires periodic replacement, and I didn't want the hassle of building a charge circuit for the air tag. When the hood is up, the only thing visible is a small wire connected to the positive battery post and it disappears into some black wire loom material. The ground is connected to a bolt under the hood and looks like any other ground.

I ran out of speedo, then it shifted to 6 and was still pulling. So all I know is it was way too fast.

No man ever wants to hear about another man running out of speedo. This means all is hanging out! Yes the non pp definitely has longer legs!

When I had my non-pp I had a pulley down and overdrive crank pulley ctsv-2 I was a car length ahead of. Wouldn't let out until he did. The car went into sixth. He said he hit 170. Which means I had to be doing the same to keep my car length. Never would of thought a taurus would be sailing down the highway like that.
Ya the place I was doing my data logs on my 13 pp I found was a bit to short of a runway for my 17 non pp. Didn't realize there was that much of a difference in the gear ratio

If you recall what the RPM's the engine was turning, it would be fairly easy to compute the speed. All you need is the RPM, tire diameter, 6th gear OD ratio and final drive ratio. The OD ratio would change the final drive ratio in the computation. The Iphone has a GPS speedometer app that goes to 280MPH, if the stock 140 speedo is not good enough.

I do not recall for sure. Things were coming at me too fast to think about anything but not dying. I want to say it was high 4K maybe but after I knew the speedometer was of no more help I focused on controlling the extra sensitive steering inputs.

I did 145 once on my old Gixxer. I love going fast but that scared me. Tunnel vision kicked in and the fear of something running in front of me or running out of a straight road, so I let off. It's amazing how different speed feels above around 110ish. I feel like I've got pretty good control until past that point (car or bike).

Changed the oil, trans fluid and PTU fluid. Greased the bushings in the Tony D links. It's amazing how quickly 3000 miles rolls around.

Installed downpipes a few days ago, changed oil and trans fluid yesterday, and got it retuned this morning and the car feels great! Talking with one of my coworkers who's been building up his mustang and let him know I'm ready to race, he told me his rear end isn't hooking up so he's going to look into wider wheels and tires. Currently he's sitting on some 9 or 9.5 wide RTRs with 275s up front and 285s in the back. Told him I might be willing to take them off his hands, but now I'm wondering, will they fit? Anyone have any experience with this? I do not know the offset, but curious to see if anyone has tried this out before.

You need to know the offset, width, centerbore, and bolt pattern. From there, look for one of the comparison tools online. Input the stock dimensions and the new dimensions and it will tell you how much different in every direction it is. Without knowing the width and offset at a minimum, it is anyone's guess with no good answer.
