Today I realized I installed the washers for the camber bolts backwards which pushes the bolt in, kind of nullifying the effect of the cam on the bolt. Guess what I'm going to be doing Saturday...Swapped my tires for Winter's, lubed the caliper pins and pad shims.
Found both rear tires severely worn on the inside to the point that air was visible from the outside (not really but steel threads sticking out).
Installed (finally !) the rear camber adjustment bolts I bought months ago and in the process found that the upper back control arm bushing have plenty of play in it, so now I'm looking for replacement parts...

In addition, I tried to decipher why my parking brake fully engages on the right tire but barely on the left.
The Workshop manual states "This tension pulls on the RH rear parking brake cable. At the same time, the tension in the front cable causes the RH cable conduit to attempt to straighten out, causing tension that pulls the LH rear cable."
I don't see the second part happening, by the time the right is locked, the left has barely moved. Can't find a way to adjust the left side so if anyone knows how, I'm all ears.

$50 is a good deal. I feel you on the winter situation... bring on April! Being optimistic could be more like may here in Maine lol.Pulled the cover off and mounted/set up my handheld to be my boost/AFR gauge. Also put in the set of Weathertech liners that I picked up today, front and rear for $50, couldn't pass them up.
Then put the cover back on, it's going to be a long winter . . .
Yeah, they're basically new, couldn't pass them up. We've had some winters that have hung on that long here too, but not as many as you have had most likely.$50 is a good deal. I feel you on the winter situation... bring on April! Being optimistic could be more like may here in Maine lol.

Check and clean out your Cowl vents.Just took my car to the car wash and on my way home the air coming through the HVAC started making a weird noise. I started playing with the vent modes and could not feel any air coming out of the vents. Came home, pulled the fuse to reset the system, waited 10 minutes and nothing... same noise and no air.
On a hunch I decided to pull the cabin air filter out and found it completely soaked... and frozen.
I keep the recirculation off during Winter so most likely this allowed water from the car wash to enter which then froze as I drove home... first time this has ever happened.
Tip: turn recirculation ON before entering a car wash![]()
Didn't know they were different... pics?
Yes, I knew they were different. My 2011 SHO has a crisper and a brighter screen because it's LED backlit. The 2010 was getting dim and yellow. Classic wavelength shift of dying fluorescent tubes. DP is the 2010. UQW unit is the 2011 and is LED backlight not compact fluorescent like the 2010Didn't know they were different... pics?
Same with my truck. Filled it a few months ago and luckily passed inspection last week.. even though it still looks like it's growing.Added a crack to decorate my windshield. Love seeing grow as I drive...
Surprised that the word nanny didn't flag "crack"... It's got some rather shady meanings.Added a crack to decorate my windshield. Love seeing grow as I drive...
