Finally finished the down pipes. Not gonna lie, that sucked a little. Every bolt had lock tite, even the 02 sensors. Torching it helped, but man, I'm sore. Drilled and tapped the ptu, did another drain, this time I got a decent amount out. Replaced the old spark plugs and thermostat.


Now...to figure out how to upload this tune thingy...

So...road block. SCT device isn't recognized by my computer. Go to troubleshoot, and the instructions supplied looks like its from windows 95, lol

Huh. Def a diff from German mfg to China mfg. Did you get this from a dealer or 3rd party seller? I am skeptical of some cheap Ford/Motorcraft ignition coils I got from Amazon.

Suffix is different. Did you cross ref to make sure one is a supersede?

One on the left was on the car. I bought the car used. Could it have had a tune on it already?

I finished! Did ppe downpipes, no cats. This and a drop in K and N air filter. Installed the gear head ao 93 octane tune.

Took it for a drive. Shifting is much more aggressive...but, I gotta be honest, power increase seems...minimal. It was hot and humid today, so likely a factor. It felt stronger, but not night and day. Maybe...a 30-40 go increase? We'll see. It'll be cooler in the morning.

removed airbox to check trans fluid level - ok - now big question - looks like previous owner never had plugs changed ( no paperwork to show servicing) so purchased some plugs ( rock auto) thought i'd try couple easy ones up front - coil came off easily - but CANNOT budge the plug - what's the best way to loosen? about 105 k miles on odometer. cold engine - for fear of breaking plug i stopped . used just a 3/8" ratchet - didn't attempt breaker bar for leverage - maybe a shot of WD40 in well ? let soak ?

Yep just shoot some oil in there to loosen it up.

The AO tune takes a bit to bring OAR up to ***** to make power. It needs to be -0.96 for optimization, any less and youll be losing boost and timing.

Yes, wd40, wait one hour, give it a shot.

For the rear, or right hand side plugs, I found it was easier to just remove the cross/torsion bar. Made more room for extraction.

Who did you purchase the vehicle from? Start blasting the major tuners and ask if they have record. Some may allow you to pay a transfer fee to continue tuning with them.
