Long time coming but I decided I would not bow down to this wheel bearing/hub assembly. I used the bolt method to separate it...back and forth back and forth went through a couple bolts....ended my attack with all the studs removed, 3 bolts in play....best I could do was about a 1/16 all the way around free....then I took the sledge hammer to her...got her! RIP ABS wheel sensor and Dust Shield. Got the sensor remains out as well. 0725201822 HDR

Installed the UPR catch can. Had to sit and look at the engine bay for a solid 25 minutes...actual install took 3 minutes.

The oil cap concerns me. Nothing mechinal holds that thing in, so, I guess just...vacuum?

That’s a pretty good gain for a tune on a four banger.
Yeah, Brad knocked it out the park. Unfortunately I kept getting hounded by 4 banger platform experts on how much boost to command etc etc. Apparently these guys like to command 22-23 psi on these little baby turbos that can barely maintain 15 psi so they are over spinning the turbo and heating up the charge air temps so their heavily tapering "bigger boost numbers" are running the same load as my lower boost. So just causing extra strain for no added benefit.

So low timing and "lower" boost (in their words) we made a ton of power with only a tune that seems like the 2.0 boys couldn't quite get. Sometimes turning it down is in turn "turning it up." Kind of ranting here, but boy oh boy did those guys critic Brad's tuning, but when a "FBO" fusion ( no clue what that includes) makes a solid 240whp compared to me making 257 like damn man time to re-evaluate. I am happy I did a stock tune run also because really shows the dyno is not overly giving compared to others.

Recently installed a new map sensor, thermostat, and colder plugs. Then catless DP's, EPP daul intake, UPR cc, msd coils and h&r springs. Also just recieved my AD mounts that I will install by the end of next week when I get some time off. I'll throw so.e pics up for you guys tomrrow. Just got my 2nd revision from Ortiz on a 93 tune. The shifting kicks like a bull that got branded though so I'm hoping that calms down over time because its pretty violent. Next will be some new shoes and socks and getting rid of this god awful chrome!

Kinda a similar situation with the ST guys. I beat up on a Cobb E30 ST and he was none too happy about it. He was cool, however he wasn't believing I was on E54 with a stock fuel system, lower peak boost, and hadn't ever heard of AJPTurbo lol.

And they like to rev them over 6200 lol. Makes no sense because the powerband has already tapered down to trash at that point. But a **** is a ****

0726201035 0726201035a Its a 2 piece...the screw in section screws in and locks into the fill hole...the cap just pushes on and pulls off...rather easily, in my opinion. No locking click or anything. Slides in and out.

My top section screws onto the bottom section. However that cap is the CSS and it only a vents crankcase pressure. I wouldn't be worried about it.

It looks like you knocked on that thing so hard rust came off the other side of the car. What a mess. Glad you got it out. Post back with the replacement stuff.

You’re actually kinda lucky. You can clock that style to adjust where the line coming off it is. The older style like mine you can’t and the fitting for the line chooses to reside in the same spot as the MAP sensor.

Yeah, that is my only gripe with the whole system. However, it is what it is.
