did a 5.2 L synthetic oil change - fl500S filter - cleaned up the belly pan- full of remnants of nuts - squirrels -bastards- think left from previous owner - I've placed a few "pine" scented air fresheners in eng bay - little buggers can destroy your soya wiring - noticed my eng block heater extension wire plug was hanging down close to first cat- prong was quite melted . never need it here in Vancouver - vacuumed interior- is that belly pan really necessary?

Belly pan is good for eco and speeeeeeeeeeeeeeddddddd!

I got a **** of a deal on them so I figured I'd give them a shot. So far they aren't any better than stock, but they aren't worse either.
I know the wheels need cleaning real bad. That'll happen when I go to put on the g2 caliper paint next weekend.

Throw the ceramic pads in the trash and put on a set of stock PP pads....

Eh, "largish" plans. Lol.

Manley Hbeam Rods, Manley pistons, Manley/Top Seal rings, Arp Head studs, King rod/main bearings, new upstr-o2s, vct solenoids, new turbo cores.

Billet Oil pump gears, Water pump, timing chains, guides, tensioners, etc was done last year.

Xdi35 possibly if my budget allows.

I liked the stock PP pads but those ebc yellows......what PP pads? Not even close.

I didn't mind the R1 ceramics for the week I ran them while waiting on the new fittings for the Wilwoods. But semi-metallics it's no comparison....

Well i finally broke down and installed my DW300C the other night. And when I say night I mean 10:30pm with a chisel and 5 lb sledge to get the lock ring loose. Definitely would not recommend doing this outside in the dark haha.

So far car is loving it, back down to 35% fpdc from 49% on E30. Making some tweaks and then going back to E50 to test and then I'll be testing E85 once again to see if I can get full boost without fuel pressure taking a dive.

Just personal experience but Semi-metallic (depending on the quality of the pad vs ceramic) I have found bite harder and perform better across a wide spectrum of braking conditions. There may be a place where ceramic are preferred but for my heavy foot street driving the metallics performed better. They are dirty and can be noisy depending on the brand.

The semi metallic pad is just a better overall pad. I really never had issues with the my stock rotors and stock PP pads even with some spirited driving.

When I "upgraded" to the Power Stop Drilled and Slotted Rotors with ceramic pad combo, I noticed the new brake set up was not up to the work that I previously asked of the stock PP set up. I get really bad brake fade with this set up.

So when I finally get fed up with them, I will throw those ceramic pads in the trash, and throw on a pair of PP pads and hopefully regain the braking that I used to have.

I switched to ceramic long time ago due to noise and accelerated rotor wear. I usually expect rotors to last at least 2 sets of pads and wasn't getting that with the semi's.

If you don't have braking issues then by all means keep what you have. I do have issues esp coming down from 140+....quickly, so a change is needed.

No place to go that fast around here without risking a hefty fine, 7 day impound and suspension plus $500 to $700 monthly insurance payments if you get caught. Not worth the risk.
115 - 120 mph (180 km/hr) is as fast I get to at the track.

Powerstop is designed as cheap as possible. I had them before and the rotors were about the same or worse than stock. The pads were definitely worse.
Go EBC or stay in the garage. I'm going to order a set of EBC yellow for the truck as soon as I get new tires.

She got the dash and infotainment stuff back in. Another couple sessions of putting stuff back in she will be back to full interior. Then rip out the motor. Lul

Put a new rear diff in the car hoping it would solve the mild shake the car had from 60 to 80 mph.... no success... pulling the driveshaft this coming week to have it balanced... can't find anything else wrong with the car. very annoying.
