Silver Explorer! great choice!. Can't beat having an SUV for towing, hauling or off roading and a sporty car g forces, illegal speeds and winding roads.

Driving characteristics are night and day.

A fiesta ST or Focus ST would be cheap at the pump and fun daily...hmmmmFac0eef43d11a5688c6366332cc7756c1dd2edebc3cb5299a77d645bffd0b3e7

The car looks sharp really dig the rims. Also I see what you did there with the silver explorer comment. LOL.

The Go Cart (My Focus ST) is a fricking riot to drive. Decent mileage on E51 averaging right at 25 mpg, usually about 29 to 30 mpg on 91 but I cant drive it like I can on the E51. On E51 zero knock, more boost, and more smiles per gallon.

That sounds awesome. Manual, boost, some e85 with a tune, 30mpg? Sounds like the perfect daily. Im in the process of getting my meth dialed with Matt from Gearhead and my God is the power addictive. I went to your favorite tuner (LMS) a week ago to get a pail o'meth and I'm almost out. It's getting expensive. Lol. An ST for the daily would definitely be a clutch (no pun intended) move right now. I've been trying to not drive the sho until Friday...but GH +Meth

I dont hate LMS. I think they dropped the ball multiple times with multiple owners on this niche platform. It is what it is. I won't let them tune any of my vehicles esp since they work hand in hand with Ford Performance.

Ford Performance Calibrations are straight garbage tunes as well. I was glad I was able to datalog and actually see what going with the tune for the ST. Brad even said he wasnt a fan after reviewing the logs.

So now I have a flex fuel tune from Brad. It makes great power on lower boost, it actully adds timing, and gets decent mileage on E51.

With his tune, I can run 87 octane all the way up E85 and not worry about what the car will do. That is awesome. Also my flex fuel tune isnt complete. It still can be turned up, however SCT is working on some things to optimize the tune even more. I bet with the DP, more timing, more boost, and some tweeks, it will be a straight monster and get 28 mpg again....lol.

Hate is a strong word but I have nothing good to say about LMS. The V11 issues got me to jump ship and logging their tune in cold weather made me glad I did. Forgetting that the engine was killed in their shop for a second, the machine work on BPDs build is absolutely atrocious. Feel free to google Livernois and see similar stories across other forums/platforms.

I can't hate them, because they have not done anything to directly affected me. I only use it for particular circumstances. I feel it diminishes the actual meaning. A lot like other words being thrown around so freely that used to actually have a actual impactful meaning don't anymore. However, I HATE Ford Performance. They are straight trash. When your tunes brick my vehicle twice, and your tune is way too hot for 91 octane and extreme heat......making me HATE you became very easy.

PCM threw a P0020 code thrown over the weekend for Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 2). Turned out only to be a loose wire at the connector for Variable Valve Timing solenoid. I saw a reference to Motorcraft part number WPT1250 to replace the pigtail but my 2015 used a WPT1094. Super easy repair and glad it wasn't anything serious.

Intake is on, painted the engine cover with the leftover paint. A bit more noise, but I had lots of whistle already with the side exhaust.

Also after the Gearhead debacle, I've gotten an Ortiz tune and holy **** this is a new beast. Even before LMS started their V11 nonsense they couldn't touch what this thing does now.

Also I can happily free rev now

Ortiz Performance. The tuner from BAMA who left when it was going to shit started his own company, lots of good Mustang and EB tunes. You can look them up on FB too, they respond super fast there. I had the first tune in an hour, and two more revisions that day. The final tune will have a 2 step launch control as well. They can do ghost cams too if you want that rice life

Thanks for the kind words Greg, I really need to get more involved over hear I always forget to check in.

Like Greg said, Luis Ortiz, our tuner, was the Lead Calibrator for American Muscle from 2016-2017 and handled all of their SEMA builds and handled training. We've actually been working together on late model Ford tuning since 2007, and you can follow most of our long term progress on the Mustang forums and our facebook page http://www.facebook.com/OrtizTuning. In late 2017, Luis decided that building "plug and play" tunes just wasn't his style and he left to one again expose his passion to the world. He's been training Coyote and Ecoboost tuners around the country and his tunes are utilized around the world.

If you guys have any questions or would like to try a tune I invite you to do reach out, ask questions, and give us a shot. If it has 4 wheels and OBD-II Ford PCM, we can tune it.

Sounds awesome. I've been searching for a new tuner but not quite ready to pull the trigger yet. Ortiz Tuning just jumped to the top of my list. :)

SSM lower engine mounts installed.

LOVE the race feel during aggressive driving/racing. 1-2 shift feels amazing. Car feels completely composed and glued during the shift, rather than a bit skittish. Lowered on H&Rs, PP struts/shocks, 275/40/20 wheels/tires. Feels great while racing.

HATE the feeling of having the engine hard mounted to my seat when I'm just idling, pulling up to a light, etc. Cruising isn't too bad. I will probably be purchasing the "street" bushings. Despite all of the race car mods, this is probably the most pronounced and annoying performance mod I've done. No more Clark Kent. It's wearing the Superman costume all the time. SSM mounts are a day one mod IMO. Huge improvement in everything. Don't bother with the street bushings, the vibration goes away in a week.

So you say it gets better, huh. That's good news.

Good looks on the advice. The change was such a shock. Both in extra performance and NVH.

I'm getting used to it, or the bushings are loosening a bit, Probably both
