you guys are hilarious! I am betting on either wheel bearing or hub. :oogle:
Had my front driver hub/wheel bearing done at 35K... Slight vibration at 60mph, and you could feel it when you put load on it when turning right...more annoying was the noise.. super easy to replace on these cars.

What kind of noise are we talking about? I have a strange noise, but it sounds like a suspension noise..

I don't have any noise like that, but today when I made a sharp right turn out of my apt complex, I heard tire squeal, this was at about 10mph or less. Never heard anything like it before hmm..

Had the windows tinted today. Bit by bit, over the next few months I hope to make it mine style wise. Someone posted issues with the rear window sunshade in another thread, I find that to be one of the most useless options they could have put on this car. Even a light tint all the way around cuts down on the heat load on a all black interior with no mechanical gadgetry to deal with. As a Tech, anything mechanical that slides like that or sunroof components suck (just my personal belief based on many hours of frustration replacing and adjusting them...you can throw in convertible tops as a bonus ) ;

So they called me from the dealer just now, I left my car there yesterday. They said both a tech and the service manager drove the car and agreed it was a wheel or tire issue, even though I put new tires on it lol. So the guys goes " you should get a roadforce balance" and I'm like "I already did that, twice!" Then he said he will let the manager know. What a joke!

marius883, they should be able to hear a hub bearing easy enough with a stethoscope running on the lift if they can't isolate it on a road test, or they wont pull the half shaft out of the hub. That, and make sure they verify the half shaft is snapped in the PTU/trans tight. It uses a cir clip retainer. We've had two limited's come through my shop in the past few months making a loud noise, especially at highway speed, both change when loading the suspension on one side, One was a hub bearing, the other had the half shaft not fully seated. (the axle seal didn't leak, but you could visually see it wobble running on the lift and easily pull it outward when in park). Just something else to throw out there.

EDIT 8/28,
Just going to edit this in after reading the comment below. Try to reproduce the vibration by gradually brake torqueing in drive. Sometime lines or other culprits ground out against the body transmitting vibrations. I've even ran across a vehicle with a rock wedged in a torque mount that sent a vibration into the body since it bypassed the rubber isolator. Coolant fans also come to mind. Does it do it with the A/C off?

The thing is, there's no weird sound or anything, just an annoying vibration at highway speeds. They already checked the rims and the tires are new, so it must be something other than wheel/tire! I said put some other wheels on it, and tell me it's gone.. We'll see

Just an update on my car, the service manager called me and said they did a road force balance just to make sure it's not a wheel/tire issue, he said the vibration is still the same. Now they're gonna start the diagnosing process, but they won't give me a rental car because they haven't actually found something wrong yet :shakehead:
Boy am I glad I took the car back though, even though my warranty is expired by now, they haven't said anything.

You guys are gonna get to have a laugh today!
The service advisor said "so they can't find a problem with the car, according to the technician it's because they are low profile tires, which can cause some vibration... :bowrofl: I just went along with it and said I will drop by after work and pick it up. I'm taking it somewhere else, and I will be contacting ford customer service. Ridiculous!

I'm over dealing with these idiots, if anyone has a number or email to a person in ford corporate, please send me a pm!

Wow......... Just wow.... I repeat my previous statement... Find a new dealership... Contact Ford Corporate... And make sure that dealership documents the issue in the Ford system.. they can pull it up at another Ford Dealership and should still honor the warranty..

I'm a very quiet reserved person, I never yell at anyone, but today that might just happen! I'm so mad I don't know if I should scream or cry :mad:
