Thanks, I feel better. I have one clip left to remove. It connects the fan to the lower coolant line (i think). I might have to break that one. I've only broken two or three clips in the whole process, but I spent a lot of time fighting with little things. Just getting the tube off the throttle body took me like 20 minutes. The car has had 70,000 miles to slowly bond all of these things together, and I've found that I am a little too gentle with some of these things. After 10 minutes of being a bitch, I finally give it a real go and then I make some progress.

I've taken the front bumper cover off a few times before, so I came into this with a bit of optimism.

Out of curiosity, will the car drive normally with the stock tune and the intercooler installed, or will I throw some code? I would like to never do this install again.

My hands look like I got attacked by a cat.

It'll drive perfectly fine, but will benefit from a tune.

So I was about to pull the radiator, but then I noticed one additional hose attached at the bottom, since I have the perf pkg. I assume I can disconnect it from the radiator, once I figure out how to get to it.

You don't have to disconnect all the hose, its easier to remove the crash bar and loosen the coresupport, in my opinion anyway. Didn't want to have to buy a bunch of fluids n such.

I didn't remove my crash bar, but I wish I had.

It's inconvenient to drill out the holes at first, but once that's done everything goes quick, couple of bolts later and the headlight and support are out.

I removed it later and mounted my upgraded trans cooler to it.

Well I got word back today that they do not have the engine got refunded so back to The Hunt of looking for a reman got three quotes. Looking at one checking to see if it has the updated timing chain. Not going through that shit again getting the wrong motor delivered.
It's from a company called Gearhead Engines.

Gearhead didn't have an address anywhere that I saw on their website. They are affiliated with ATK (as are a few other companies I'm sure..ATK is big). I know they have reman stuff in Mexico in addition to the States and other places. Lowest prices make me think Mexico. You can research as you like. I'm sure there are reviews in any direction for reman from alot of companies as their base is used and who knows what components are sourced for install.

I just pulled up a few https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/specific_search/ATK+North+America

and if someone has a wayback search for this expired link I got from an old Ford Bronco forum
http://www.gearheadboard.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17

Just be comfortable with what you choose as a few hundred in either direction isn't that much in the long run.

This isn't something I did to my SHO, more with but... Last night I was headed home with my daughter and some really douchey looking guy pulled up next to me in a Maserati Ghibli and asked me, "Did you get the oldman car because you couldn't afford and real mans sports car?" So told him lets run'em, after his ass whooping ensued we ended up at the next red light together. I looked him dead in the eyes and said, "That's a nice car though, but does it come in mens?" I had a really hard time keeping a straight face when I asked, but I've never seen anyone so ****** when they drove off. He whipped a U turn and floored it the other direction, guess the "old man car" taught him a lesson.

That plate is very appropriate, but I still can't think of why he even was being a ***** in the first place. I wasn't driving crazy or anything I had just picked up my daughter and was heading home. On the plus side, she was already asking me to go fast, so it all kind of worked out lol.

Sounds like she needs a go cart! Possibly a junior dragster. Scratch that, Definitely a junior dragster.

Some people just need to be whacked to get the message. That is why the SHO is one of the greatest sleeper cars ever. Even when people know about them, they still under estimate them.

I was just talking with my wife on getting the little one one of those electric cars for her to start practicing on! I wouldn't be mad if she ended up getting into racing.

I wish there was a LOVE button for this scenario, that is hilarious!
