Something that’s bothered my for awhile and I finally did something about it. Perfection wasn’t my intention and it looks better from a distance. Was going to touch the mufflers up with some black, but I couldn’t find the paint.

just found out today that the new replacement motor was never sent out last week getting so f--ing frustrated. Getting the runaround for 2 weeks now they can determine what f--king motor I need for my car. Sent them pictures the difference between my engine and their engine they sent and they still can't get it straight now they want to talk to my mechanic again absolute f---ing ridiculous.

Shipped my turbo cores and Turbosmart wastegates out last week for upgrades. Working with a new company for a cheaper alternative with similar flow as our competition, so we'll see if that engineering degree can be put to work.

Still looking for motivation to get the car back on jackstands to do some work. I pulled the car in the garage Saturday with the intention of working on it, but after 2 days sitting there my wife reclaimed her spot and I'm back in the driveway.

COVID has been great for projects around the house that I've continually put off, but man it kills my energy for wrenching on the car.

Still need to install:
* New PP struts/top hats
* Ported intake manifold and phenolic spacer
* Quad exhaust tips
* Magnaflow resonated X-Pipe
* New tie rod ends
* Whiteline rear sway bar and new OEM end links

Valve covers and strut brace will be going off to the powdercoater this week, so that's fun.

Not really car related, but sorta. I've been trying to buy a metal workshop for months now. Issue after issue after issue. Once I signed the papers and received my engineered drawings, we noticed the engineer put footers in it and the contractor upped my price. After a month of haggling with him and too many quotes to remember, we're back at a price we both agree on and ready to go.

So now we're ready but it's rained, and rained, and rained. I've been checking the 10 day forecast and there isn't a single dry day on the books. So we're pulling the trigger and planning to dig footers on Sunday and pour on Monday, with only a 20% chance of rain. Fingers crossed this works out.

If all goes well, I can get my tractor and truck out of the rain, and still have a 30' bay for tools/wrenching on the car or whatever miscellaneous project is going on. And getting some tools out of the garage will open it up a lot. All and all, it should be good for the SHO.

hope it works out as planned! I am just excited for an 8x12 storage shed being delivered next week haha. Will get the riding mower and lawn equipment out of the garage so I can have more room for wrenching myself.

I'm pouring 5" of 4,000 PSI fiber reinforced concrete. I won't be able to afford a lift any time soon as this building is putting a huge dent in my savings, plus I still need to run power, water, and insulate it.

But some day in the future I plan on owning a lift.

So...I put the car on jack stands...ceramic coated my downpipes yesterday, black, of course. All is ready. I go to do a mock up...and the down pipes I have don't fit! I think to myself...I'm doing something wrong. I rummage in the box. And there, on the bottom, is a card that says Ford Flex. WTF?!? They sent me the wrong ******* ******* pipes! Then I'm second guessing myself...did I order the wrong pipes? But, no, not possible...first thing on vivid racing website is, enter make, model, and year. So I send them an email.

And now I wait.

I can't install my gear head tune, its for the car as having ppe down pipes.

I likely won't get the correct pipes in time to install before winter.

Bummed out.

But by god, I got her on the stands...**** it, I'll drill and tap the PTU today.

What do you mean they don't fit? The Flex and SHO are the same DP's.

The short one is for the rear turbo. They changed the design for the front turbo and made it a two piece. Short one goes to the left side (looking at the rear of the car) and the long one goes to the right side.

the pipes are the same. They made some changes in the new revision to allow for clearance of the crossmember for the Flex, but they still start and end at the same point.

Match the flanges together, it's like a puzzle

Well I talked to them on the phone again today sounds like nobody knows what the **** they're doing over there at that shop. I'll find out at the end of the day if I get a refund for a new motor so on that note anybody know where I can pick up a new reman long block for our cars cuz I've been looking around and I can't find shit.
Will a 2013 + fit in my car What complications would there be? So how much of a difference is between 2012 and 2013 engine block?
