Ok, so I just bought a 2011 SHO. I have figured out most of the features. But there are two buttons that I just cannot figure out. They are in front of the shifter. One has a crescent moon and seeing sun on it, the other has an image that kind of looks like a volume indicator. They are in the same little cubby area as the 12v port and button for rear screen. If anybody knows what these do I'd appreciate the info.

PS
I'm new to the forum and just bought my SHO yesterday. Can't wait to start modding.

Welcome to the forum, Druseph, congrats on the new ride! Sounds like lighting control buttons for the dash/instrument cluster to me, these are physical buttons right?

OK, think I found it, pg 69 of the owner's manual:
Ambient lighting (if equipped)
Illuminates footwells and cupholders
with a choice of several colors. The
ambient lighting control is located in
the center console storage area.

• To activate, press and release the
left side of the control to cycle
through the color choices plus
the off state.
• Press the right side of the control to adjust color intensity.
Lights

The lights come on whenever the ignition is in either the on or accessory
position and the headlamps or parking lamps are on.
Note: The ambient lights will stay on until the ignition is placed in the
off position and either of the front doors are opened or the accessory
delay timer expires.

That's where my active park assist button is on my 2013, but I can remember the image and not near the vehicle right now.

On the 2011, the two buttons described are for the ambient lighting as mentioned by SHOdded.

Thanks, that would make sense. I've only tried them during the day when the lights were off. I pressed them both about a hundred times, looking around the car like "WTF do these do!?!?"

Thanks again for the help.

I have a random button for ya! :poke:Yesterday I was detailing SHOfia rear end and ended up feeling a button by the license plate area. It's on the bumper where no one can see. I pressed/held it until something happen but nothing ever did. I'm about to do some research and get back to you guys if you don't beat me to the punch. I thought it was to unlock the trunk but like I said nothing happen...

Sooooooo it is for the trunk!!!! And mines doesn't work :cussing:. I was in a accident about 4 months back and the service guys took the bumper off so maybe they forgot to connect something.

Cool story, because of that accident I had my rear curtain motor replaced by the at faults insurance company hehe:naughty1: mine stopped working just like some of you guys. I bought the car used in May. With one month in and only 2 times that I use that darn thing stops working! With no warranty the price of that little motor w/installation was 800 bucks!!
The damages from the accident were all cosmetic but that didn't stop me from complaining that the curtain was working perfectly. They were hesitate at first but at the end they ended up paying for that also.
