I hope so...I'm just disapointed that I still won't have a chance against LS1 cars...

You wanna bet? Of course I had full bolt ons, but was untuned. and it was a Cvette not a Camaro/T/a. Of course I am talking about highway roll not dig. You would be surprised, he was lol.

That bolt on Formula will probably beat you depending on bolt ons. But it's not gonna be a slaughter, again depending on mods. The Mach1, if stock, wont put up much of a fight.

I've ran both cars listed... both stock, beat both of them. Now, that's with other mods with the nitrous (everything but cams), and the car being lightend (3050lbs).

I can't imagine this car with a 42 main jet... :oogle: I bet it'll trap in the high 100's.

I had no problems in 1st, neither did my buddy and neither of us had real sticky tires.(Not talking about launching, but from a roll in 1st)

As far as how hard it pulls it depends A LOT on the jetting you use and bottle pressure, but mainly jetting. If you go 100 out of the box it will pull very nicely.:woohoo:

ive got Nitto 235's all the way around on my car and it breaks loose without any n2o. what tires are you running?

C'mon guys... each car has a different suspension setup. My car looses traction but dosen't smoke the tires (think slipping) with and without the nitrous in first gear, but with the nitrous it's alittle more exagerated. Second gear with the nitrous can loose traction if the conditions are right and I have great bottle pressure.
Another thing to consider... the length of the nitrous line from the solenoid(or box for Zex users) to the intake tube has an effect on the "hit". You get a smoother transition with a longer line, and a more of a jolt with a shorter line.

Plus, being able to spin the tires is not really a great measurement of power or the like. There are sooooo many varibles that can vary, such as tire pressure, tire temps, road temps, ambient temps, and tire weight just to name a few.

My tires are Fuzion HRi (215/65) all around on the basketweaves. Magnaflow Y-pipe and mufflers and Eibach/Sensatracs. I am 100% sure that the 4v Mach 1 is going to walk all over me. I raced him once before and it wasn't pretty at all. At least I will put of some sort of fight this time. I will get the car weighed when it gets put back together. How do you guys weigh yours? Driver and 1/4 tank?

Mach 1 > Bolt on Formula usually, but it's still a driver's race

215's thats cute, your going to want some wider wheels with that power adder.

i weighed my car at my local track, without me and less than 1/8th of a tank3170lbs its an optionless 90'

is that Formula an LS-1 or LT-1?

Would I be guaranteeing my defeat about an LT1?

If its an LT-1 you should hang with him, obviously theres lots of variables. I test drove a 03 Mach-1 a few years ago but ive never driven a juiced SHO so I dont know how they will compare but that Mach was pretty dang fast. Theres a guy I work with that has a modded 04 SVT Cobra and I dont even bother, id have to dump like 6k in the SHO to even think about keeping up with it.

You dump at 6k and one or more of the next of 3 things would happen... Absolutely no traction, diff pin would bounce around inside your transmission, and/or your clutch would die.

There is no keeping up with the Terminator. Period.

Back on topic, I will lose to the Mach 1. For those of you out of the know they have the 4v/cyl 281 V8 instead of the other mustang's 2v or 3v motors.
The Formula is an LS1, I expect to hang nicely with LT1 F-bodies with the 100 shot on there, especially from a roll.

I meant $6,000 for a turbo/supercharger system.....Hahaa I could dump it at 8k rpms and not keep up with that stupid thing lol its not even worth the try and I dont have a diff pin or clutch its an atx lol

Yes it does have the nice motor, but even still a SHO with a big shot will give it a run for its money... as I have done........ more than once. But once again, he was stock. Those mod motors really like mods.

I guess so but the odds are stacked against me since I'm young and he is VERY skilled with his 5-speed.

What size jet is the 100 shot? The kit only comes with up to 75 horse so I'm ordering the 100.

I'm not too sure on the Zex jet sizes. I know that on the NOS kit it's a 40, and the 42 is a 125 or so. I'm sure there is some info on the jet sizes that someone has posted for the Zex kit.

Do your research because I cant remember for sure as it has been awhile and I change jets in a lot of cars, but I believe I had 42N/28F and was pretty rich, but didnt get a chance to up the N jet size. Remember, the ZEX NMU will slightly adjust fuel to bottle pressure.

From a roll you should pull an Lt1 nicely and hang with an Ls1. I was dead even from 60-120 with a slightly modded 99 vette(until he sprayed on me too). An F body is heavier than that, not geared as well, and a little less base power. My best race from a dig was an 05 GT mustang and iwon by like 1 1/2 cars. I have no experience with Mach 1's, but as some said they take very very well to mods.

I was gonna say huh? but after further reading i realized you thought he meant dump the clutch at 6k rpms.

Plenty of fun could be made with 6k in cash if you shopped around and did your own labor. 3.2, wisco pistons, tweecer, if you knew what you were doin you could have a SHO that could be quite nasty from a roll.
