I'm in the middle of doing my breaks and I can't fit the caliper over the bracket with the new pads on. Should the slider pins be able to move freely? If so then mine are frozen. Any suggestions as to how to get them out or should I purchase a new bracket with pins?

I got one pin to come out but the other is stuck solid despite my most valiant efforts :D . AZ and Advanced Auto both close at 8 so I'll have to head over there in the morning for the new bracket w/ slider pins. Thanks for the input Steve.

Yes, they should simply pull out.

If you cannot get them free, go the new bracket route.

Steve
or if you got access to a torch, heat up the brackets and pull em out, or if you swing by a garage, slip a mechanic a 20 and have him heat up the brackets and pull the pins for ya :)

I didn't even try to free the pins on my other bracket. At $20 per caliper bracket I'd rather be able to sleep at night knowing I have new pins back there.

don't give the mechanic a $20 to do that.... the brackets themselves are available new for $20.

Then you have a new bracket, slider pins and boots.
