I too am looking forward to hearing more about the shifter! I bought one on a earlier group purchase but sold it when I got "out" of the SHO game for a few years. Man, do I ever regret selling it!

Hey guys,

I have been out of town for the last 2 weeks, and have been spending most of my time in places with no internet connections, so it has been difficult to get on line. I will be back in Miami tonight.

The machine shop should have some numbers for me on making the SHOrt Shifter, and I will be making some SHOrty Shifters in the next couple of weeks.

I will keep you guys posted as soon as I have something.

OK, I got a price from the machine shop on making the shifters, and although the price has gone up a bit, I will keep the price the same.

SHOrt Shifter $310.00
Braces 40.00
Shipping 25.00

I will post it on the Gauging Inerest Forum so those who want one can let me know.

I still plan to continue making the SHOrty Shifter as demand dictates, but right now I am traveling a bit so it is difficult to get them done regularly.

Anyway, please let me know who is interested in what?

Jose

It seems like there's a lot of confusion here between the "SHOrt" and the "SHOrty".

The "SHOrt shifter" is the whole shebang all custom-made shifter from top to bottom (for $310 plus shipping and braces), and the "SHOrty shifter" is the DIY kit where you take your stock rod shifter and modify it with the parts provided (for $130).

BIG SMILE. that was pretty much all i could manage when testing out the sho after this install. Every gear shift is so tight and precise. It will take some getting used to. neutral is finiky. I do plan on going back in there to seal it up and cleaned better. overall it was a learning process to install. good time to take care of any rust. although i have been wondering if I should or need to **** the new steel ball. I assumed not to grease because the plastic ball that came out was dry.

Can the shifter be returned to stock? I understand you cut a bigger hole in the floor. Just curious if I sold the car and wanted to keep the kit for my next SHO project.
