I took today to figure out why my backup camera was malfunctioning. To my surprise my original one (on the old decklid) works like a charm!
After testing it out it works and the image is about 98% clear. Not horrible but I cleaned the clear part over the lense and it seemed to help.
Another unrelated issue I had since swapping out the old decklid is this one I currently have. It wouldn't close all the way thus I had to slam it to close it. I took the striker and adjusted it up about less than a 1/4 inch. That worked and the lid now closes better without much force. I with the help of my father had to adjust the dedklid alignment at the bottom of the scissor hinges to get it to be as centered as I could get it. I had to shift it to the rear and to the left some. Photos speak for themselves. Everything sits flush except a small gap along the passenger side decklid-to-rear quarter panel.
Not much I could do there except maybe use shims on the driver's side to even it out. The bottom was gapped less than a 1/4 inch and doesn't sit on the bumper cover edge scratching it up. But from a distance not horrible. Next is how well it seals up against water when it rains. Im confident it will be water tight, time will tell me the next time we have a rainy day!
