In my opinion the only one up Chevy has on Ford is the consistent presence of larger engines. But they need that to move the heavier vehicles to compete with their blue oval counterparts. If I was made of money, I might drive a Chevy but I'm more of a value shopper.I've long been a Chevy guy. ****, I still am one. Camaro > mustang. LT > Windsor. LS > ...pretty much everything, lol.
Corvette > GT? Jury is out on that, but I will say, 80k for a Z06 is a lot more car than you can get from anyone else, for 80k.
But.
That mustang is sexy as ****. Love the new body style, I'd like to see a wide body rear, fender flares and yuge rear tires, a la Porsche GT3.
When I bought my SHO, my criteria was 4 doors and power, which narrowed my search to a G8, SS, or SHO. The SHO seemed more luxurious and it's AWD. And the price tag of a used SHO was consistently $10K less than a Chevy SS.
I like to dream of owning a 700+ HP street monster and window shop Hellcats and the like. But then I wake up and realize if I had $80K to spend on a toy I'd ultimately buy a new GT Mustang and supercharge it. I could use the remaining $30-40K on styling, sound, etc.
