I am baffled the by 1/8 mile times quoted here.....unless DA was like 6000.....or someone spread oil at the starting line. I was running 7.7 bone stock on all season tires. A forced induction or E85 tuned A10 on DRs is typically in the 6s at my tracks. (Usually 1000 - 2000 DA air)

Granted a prepped track is different than a street surface. Also, some tracks have better prep than others.
I go 8.0 all day. That is when I was going 12.50. New tires, wider rims, more power, and tq mounts should put me 12.20-12.30 range. Which is a drivers race with a 18+ Mustang GT at the track.
The Mustangs don't go that fast on the street, unless they have a radial.

Close I was 13 and The truck is spelled Syclone. I now all about traction I had a 13 roush stage 3 with the phase 3 upgrade. 675 hp The 18 auto stock will beat it on the street. Also I know how to drive , having taught pursuit driving in the Police Academy for 15 years.
Look, you could well be Don Garlits but you still don't come to a forum and call people liars, you just don't. Be respectful, you as a mature person should know better.
And BTW, it was not me you spelled Syclone incorrectly, you need to learn how to quote the right post.

Now you are bragging about having so much experience here and there, why is that? having a bad day? I'm done with you.

Spinnin aint winnin. Torque wins races. Torque and traction so happen to be the SHO strengths.

You get traction, but torque ain't even close... especially when you factor in the drivetrain multiplication...
Stock 10A with good tires will steal your lunch money.

Two posts... wow !!!! This must be quite a day for you, so you have been racing since you were 12??? You are 72 years old and have been racing for 60, right?
BTW, you also haven't posted anything in 6 years on the other forum:

I do not care if he was sleeping or if he drove with the parking brake on, I beat him, period. And many many members here have done it on the road.

If you have been racing long enough as you claim (skateboards don't count), you should know that winning a race is not only about how much power you got under the hood but how well you can transfer it to the ground.

Here's me rolling a gen 1 fbo e85 then a fbo minus headers gen 2 when I was still stock turbo size and full interior.

Honestly, I've never had any issues with mustangs from a dig on the street. I've got it all filmed too. Just causes butt hurt to the mustang owners.

Off the top of my head the mustangs I've beat from a dig on the street

4.6 3 valve which is an obvious win
Fbo gen 1 coyote on slick 5-0
Fbo gen 2 coyote on radial 2-0
600rwhp vmp supercharged gen 1 2-0
900rwhp 2.7l Whipple gen 1 coyote 3-0
460ci fox body on slick with best supposed time of 10.9 2-0

At the drag strip
5.4l gt500 that ran 11.5s 2-0
Gen3 a10 1-0

Just the ones off the top of my head. Just because some can run greatly optimized times the vast majority need driver mod something fierce

And for fun I rolled the 900rwhp mustang and he demolished me. All of this was before my big power numbers and when I was running ~450 awhp/520 torque.

Tl;Dr consistency is key and if you spin you lose

^I credit why my car does what it does on the street with all of the revisions done by my tuner. I asked Brad to make it super aggressive off the hit because I have tired turbos so my big end isn't something to write home about. However, we can get super aggressive because of the fuel, good oil, bolt ons, and a ton of data that we extrapolated over the ton of data logs from my SHO and others.

I must say, my car feels 100% healthier and way stronger with Brad at the helm. You were right strongman, the dude is a boss with the ecoboost. Almost all of my previous concerns were corrected after loading just his base tune. And, we’ve just been getting my backup/winter 93 tune together. I can’t wait for e30!

It seems someone else jumped off the LMS ship as well. It will be interesting to see what Brad does for him. I am 100% he is going to be blown away with the difference. The cool thing is, he will Vblog it, and Brad will get blown up...again. I already warned him.

You should have a decent chance against a s197 but a Bolton s550 is gonna be hard to top with the sho. I have both

I've long been a Chevy guy. ****, I still am one. Camaro > mustang. LT > Windsor. LS > ...pretty much everything, lol.

Corvette > GT? Jury is out on that, but I will say, 80k for a Z06 is a lot more car than you can get from anyone else, for 80k.

But.

That mustang is sexy as ****. Love the new body style, I'd like to see a wide body rear, fender flares and yuge rear tires, a la Porsche GT3.

Drive a coyote and you might change your mind. Tons of fun.

Personally I would take a gt500 over a z06 but that’s just my personal bias on what I like and not from a performance standpoint

I am biased AF and admit that straight up. I love my s550 though

The new Corvette interior is about as much GM Flava Flav!!! As I can handle bleeeeeeeeechhhh!
Also the Corvette isn't even on the same tier as the GT, unless you are talking about the Ford GT500.
