Gawd I hate to post this because it'll SHO what a noob i am...
What do I want?
I don't know what y'all are talking about as far as cats & headers.
I do want to start slowly modding the car & know a y pipe is one of the first things to do so I want one & want in on the group buy.
Going onto a low milage '89. (<60,000 miles - completely stock)
I don't want it to be loud.
I probably want the catted...can someone give me a hand with whats what?
Is it too late to be included?

Its a Taurus...
not to late, and yeah you'll want catted, that makes the car less raspy, not as loud, there is less loss in low end power, and no cats is illegal on the street, for every missing cat in my state I believe it is a $10,000 fine if you get caught. This probably isn't the thread to explain it all in but search on google, I am sure there are tons of sites that can explain stuff for you.

Sucks that the old suburban tranny went out on Monday.
The SHO needs a new crank sensor & hasn't been on the road lately...always scary when you know it could just die at any time!
I figured $2000 for the tranny but the shop said $1500...sounds like a Y pipe for me!
Then a better intake.
Oh boy, I'm hooked!

Sorry but I am not laying out over 300 bucks when someone will have my money for a year, and then say ok nvm the buy isn't going to work out and refund my money that I could have had invested elsewhere. I have the money, if I don't have it, then I don't say I want something. I also won't go spend it because I have an obligation to pay them when I say I want something. If there are 17 people now, including me who want an mtx pipe, we should be able to get close to 15 paid if we set a date. When I have done my group buys, I set a date to have the money in by, and then production started no matter how many orders I had, and my buys have always worked out great. I think the reason people haven't paid is half probably don't even know the buy will go through if they pay right now. So by setting a date for people to pay by, most people will pay and we can get this moving.
Let's do the math. Let's say you make 5%APR on $300.00, that's a whole $1.25 a month. I highly dought that they will keep this group buy open that long.
Even if it took 3 months, that's a whole $3.75.:laugh_ti:

i'll be sending payment in a little after the first of the month. timing belt went pop on her car and it was either buy y pipe for my car or a new head and timing belt for hers. you can see which one gets me out of the dog house.
i appologize for dragging my feet on this but i guarantee payment no later than the first week of november. i just gotta make sure i'm covered for rent and such.

I"ll try to send u some money next week, if u want some kind of down payment to assure my interest, I can give u like 3/4's of it when my check clears I put in the bank today.
I just been having issues with the SHO hogging up all my money for it just to stay on the road, to top it all off now i need a fuel pump
