UDPs do both. They spin the accessories slower so that they can survive when the engine is spinning 7200+ RPM. They also weigh less. That allows the engine to put more power to the ground.
It's not really the weight that allows them to have mechanical leverage allowing them to free up power, it is the larger diameter.

10psi is great, but if I wanted to run bi-turbo, that may produce more than that, so I would have to chage pistons, right? My car is not tuned at all with all these mods installed, but I have NOS and wanted to install it too, but don't know what is the maximum i could run on this car and so on, or maybe just sell nos and get turbo/SC installed instead.

Stock pistons seem to do okay with around 10 psi on a regular basis. Some people get 15+, some people blow up with less than 10. Depends on your specific motor and how it was maintained, and a lot on your tuning.

Yamaha SHO, you spun the stock motor to 8K? With a Vortech?

Also, I read a curious response concerning a possible SHO turbo kit from SHO Source, any news on that?

The old SHOShop spun their "high HP" Vortech setups to 8300 RPM to get those high HP numbers.

Yes. 8k RPM is about the limit I would take a stock motor. My built motor should handle 8k RPM better/smoother than stock, but I only take it to 7k RPM for the most part.

So your Vortech s/c kit made around 11 psi of boost?

What else did the NA version have done to it? (y pipe, mass air, obviously Tweecer to up the limiter..)

Yes, 10 PSI.

NA had all the bolt ones, to include stage 1 cams, EH intake, untuned LPM and a 255lph fuel pump over-driving the stock regulator.

what??????????? English please

That was English... But I'll help you.

Vortech does not make turbochargers, they make centrifical superchargers. Therefore, my turbo doesn't "kick in".

The second statement was a joke. ALL stage X (or whatever name they have) ARE reground cams. The lobes and the base circles are ground down for whatever profile. Lash caps are used to bring and acceptable shim gap between the base circle and regain the lift lost with grinding.
