Efforts to keep the engine together at high RPM. Gotta admit, they did a damn fine job!
BTW, the SHO engine is safely capable of way more than 7k rpm. It's the accessories that hold it back. Most people that put on UDP's change the rev limiter to 8k without an issue.
I can remember hearing a story about being able to safely rev to 11k, not sure if there's any truth to that though.
what exactly would i get from being able to rev it past 7400rpm?
